Mr. Viraj Bandekar

Mr. Viraj Bandekar comes from a background of competitive examinations and has been teaching in various colleges. He cleared UGC NET examination in June 2019. He previously worked with Bhavans College, Andheri (autonomous) where he was the faculty member for Board of Studies and the faculty in charge of photography club.
Viraj has worked freelance with various OTT platforms as a transcript writer. He has also worked with
sportscrunch.in as a sports writer. Viraj is a sports enthusiast and is a basketball and football player himself. Viraj is currently the Assistant Professor at DGMC.
Nilanksha Sachdev

Nilanksha Sachdev, currently an Assistant Professor at DGMC, is an avid
communication enthusiast, she has a rich experience of 7 years in the field of Mass communication, Strategic Communications, Content Development and Communication for Development. She particularly feels connected to the field of Development Communication and has previously worked in several organizations like UNFPA, Public Health Foundation of India and Ford Foundation to give the use of Media a social direction. This experience has given her an eye of detail and a vast knowledge of the interdisciplinary use of Mass Media as a tool for a better society. She accomplished her Masters Degree in Development Communication, from Lady Irwin College, Delhi University followed by UGC NET in the year 2011. She has also done a graduate course in “Strategic Communications and Design” from University of Western Australia, Perth and a course in “American Families and Community Lifestyles” from School of Human Ecology at Michigan State University. She has taught as an Assistant Professor in colleges like Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi and SNDT Women’s University. She has researched and authored chapters on topics like Participatory Communication for Development, Games as a tool for social change and correlations between Perception and Communication. Her area of expertise is Content Development, Strategic Communications, Media Design, Development Communication, Media Advocacy, Social Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations.
Mr. Prasoon Prabhakar

Mr. Prasoon Prabhakar is an alumnus of Satyajit Ray Film and Television, Kolkata. He has been working professionally for the last 9 years across various formats of filmmaking like films, web series, Short films, and advertising/commercials. His films and web series are streaming on various OTT platforms. He is recognized as a Certified Master trainer by Media and Entertainment Skills Council.
Ms. Deevika Shetty

Ms. Deveeka Shetty, currently an Assistant Professor at DGMCMS, is a Media Professional, an Image Consultant and a Digital Marketer. She is a post- graduate in Electronic Media as well as English Literature. She is pursuing her Ph.D in media from the University of Mumbai. Her area of expertise are Social Media Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations, Film Communication and Electronic Media. She has abundant experience of 9 years in the field of Corporate Communication, Public Relations, Image Consultancy and Celebrity Styling and Teaching. She particularly feels connected to the field of Public Relation and has previously worked in organizations like You, Me & We Media as a Senior PR Executive and Style Panache as a PR Executive and a Stylist. This experience has given her an eye of detail and a vast knowledge of the use of Mass Media as a tool for a better society. She was the Head of Department of the Department of Mass Media for 2½ years in Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Commerce and Science, also she headed the Master’s Program (MAEMA) for a year in Thakur College of Science & Commerce. She has experience in teaching in her Alma-mater Wilson College. Teaching, research and organizing events are areas that have always enthralled her. She is also an enthusiast in various cultural activities like Dance and Drama. She has presented a paper on “A Study of the Awareness Regarding Biological Warfare among Undergraduate Students of Mass Media”
Ms. Bhavya Kotian

Ms. Bhavya Kotian, is a media professional with 6 years of teaching experience and 8 years of
industry experience. She has an undergraduate degree in BMM, Journalism from Sophia
college for women (Autonomous) and a Masters degree in Photogaphy from De Montfort
University, Leicester UK.
She was previously working for SVT college (Autonomous) at SNDT university, Juhu Campus
where she was a member of the BOS and a student mentor. She also, assisted in executing the
NEP 2020 for the department of Media, Communication and Development in the year 2022-23.

She also has had her photos exhibited by Exposure Award ‘The Dreamers collection’ in Louvre,
Paris and Imbroglio - The Hardy Tree Gallery, London, UK. Her current work is focused on
movements and incorporating that into various genres of photography. She currently
co-owns Univision Photography which specialises in art and commercial photography.
Ms. Sherin Mathew

Ms. Sherin Mathew, currently an Assistant Professor at DGMC,A passionate design professional with a Master’s in Visual Arts and a BFA in Applied Art. Brings over 8 years of experience across academia, freelance projects, and the design industry, She previously served as Assistant Professor at Manipal University Jaipur, leading both theory
and practical modules. Expert in visual communication, branding, advertising, and digital content creation, she contributed to curriculum development and served on the Board of Studies at multiple academic institutions.
She also had published scholarly work on the cultural and environmental impact of advertising in public spaces and presented research papers at international conferences in Singapore and Malaysia. She qualified the UGC-NET for Assistant Professorship and was honored with a Gold Medal for academic excellence during her BFA.
Dr. Richa Chattapadhyay

Dr. Richa is an Assistant Professor at DGMC, bringing extensive academic achievements and professional experience to her role. She holds a B.A. (Hons.) in Media Science from West Bengal University of Technology, an M.A. in Mass Communication and Videography from Rabindra Bharati University, and a Ph.D. in Mass Communication and Journalism from Tezpur University. She was awarded a silver medal for securing second position in her undergraduate degree and a gold medal for securing first position in her postgraduate degree. She has qualified the UGC-NET in Mass Communication and Journalism and was also a recipient of the UGC SVSGC Fellowship during her doctoral research. Professionally, she has worked for one and half years at the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, as a Media and Program Coordinator, where she was involved in organizing and documenting various cultural programs under the Ministry. She brings over a decade of research experience focused on communication and culture, particularly in the context of North-East India. She has served as a Research Associate for three books that delve into ethnicity, traditional knowledge systems, and cultural expressions of indigenous communities in the region. She has also been awarded intramural research grants by Tezpur University for projects exploring the cultural traditions prevalent in the North-East. Her scholarly contributions also include research papers published in Scopus-indexed and UGC CARE listed journals and edited books. Her research interests include ritual and performance, cultural identity, digital culture(s), and culture and globalization.
Mr. Shrikant Choudhari

Mr. Shrikant Choudhari is an award-winning filmmaker, editor, and academician with extensive experience in narrative cinema, post-production, and visual storytelling. He edited the National Award-winning Marathi feature Kastoori and directed the critically acclaimed Marathi film Vartul. His Gujarati feature Rangaaa earned him the Best Director Award, further establishing his contribution to regional Indian cinema.
Beyond feature films, Shrikant has worked on prominent projects including Scam 2003 and Ved, gaining valuable experience across film and OTT productions. He also brings expertise in advertising and narrative writing, having worked with leading agencies such as Lowe Lintas and WhiteDot Adverts. As an Assistant Professor, he combines industry experience with academic practice, mentoring students in filmmaking, editing, content creation, and media studies while encouraging a strong balance of creative expression and professional excellence.
Ms. Anchal Jain

Anchal Jain is a critical thinker with a penchant for intersectional analysis. She is a NET (2014) qualified educator whose educational training spans fields of literature, development studies, and feminist academia. She is in the process of submitting her doctoral work, which examines the gender, religious, and minority identities of Jain women in Mumbai. She has also worked with various rural and urban communities through on-ground projects. She is an enthusiastic plant parent, an appreciator of beautiful architecture and an amateur interior designer. She is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Mass Media and Communication Studies.
Ms. Parineeta Bhure

Parineeta Bhure is a seasoned creative producer and educator with over 13 years of experience in the Marathi film industry. Her body of work spans feature films, ad campaigns, and corporate films, all driven by emotionally resonant storytelling and strong collaborative execution. She holds a postgraduate degree in Communication Studies from Pune University and is currently pursuing a PhD.
Her expertise spans across creative development of films, adfilms , pre-production strategy, and marketing execution, including the planning and creation of trailers, posters and promotional campaigns.
Parineeta is now looking to expand her journey into academia, bringing a keen interest in teaching and mentoring the next generation of filmmakers
Ms. Dipti Parmar

Dipti Parmar has done M.Sc.(Computer Science), PGDM (University of Texas) in AIML. She is an enthusiastic academician with 15 years of teaching experience in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology. Over the years, she has taught students pursuing BSc(I.T.), MSc(I.T.) and B.Sc.(Data Science) of multiple colleges covering a wide range of subjects related to Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology. She has published few research papers and awarded best research paper awards twice.
Mr. Rohit Mahto

Rohit Mahto is an Unreal Authorized Instructor (UAI) with over 15 years of experience in multimedia, animation, VFX, motion graphics, and real-time 3D technologies.
During his career, he has worked as a trainer with leading education organizations, including Arena Animation (Aptech Ltd.), where he trained students in animation, multimedia, and digital content creation. Over the years, he has mentored aspiring artists and developers through hands-on, industry-focused training.
His expertise includes Unreal Engine 5, Game Development, Virtual Production, Cinematics, XR (AR/VR), Motion Graphics, VFX, and Digital Design. He believes in practical, project-based learning that equips students with the skills needed for today's creative industries.
Mr. Sanman Hutgikar

Mr. Sanman Hutgikar is a Media Professional and Educator with an exceptional record in
academics and public service. He completed his Bachelor's & Master's degrees in Mass
Communication and Journalism, securing the Top rank in all Semesters and emerging as a
Topper at University of Mumbai during his Master's Program.
He is the Creator of Perspectives - An Exclusive Podcast Series by DGMC. He served as the
President of The Rotaract Club for 3 consecutive years, leading numerous impactful initiatives
and fostering a culture of excellence and service. His contributions have earned him several
accolades and recognitions for excellence in Academics and public service among many others.
Presently, he serves as the Marketing and Research Associate at RSET's Deviprasad Goenka
Management College of Media Studies in Mumbai, where he is also a full time Faculty and the
youngest member of the Staff, At DGMC he continues to contribute to academic research,
institutional growth, and strategic communication initiatives
Mr. Chandrashekhar Dubey

Mr. Chandrashekhar Dubey holds a Master & degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Mumbai. He has qualified UGC-NET in 2018 and has over nine years of rich experience in academic and special libraries. He has worked with reputed organizations like HBSE, TIFR, Welingkar Institute of Management, Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), AIMSR.
