Mr. Viraj Bandekar

Mr. Viraj Bandekar comes from a background of competitive examinations and has been teaching in various colleges. He cleared UGC NET examination in June 2019. He previously worked with Bhavans College, Andheri (autonomous) where he was the faculty member for Board of Studies and the faculty in charge of photography club.
Viraj has worked freelance with various OTT platforms as a transcript writer. He has also worked with
sportscrunch.in as a sports writer. Viraj is a sports enthusiast and is a basketball and football player himself. Viraj is currently the Assistant Professor at DGMC.
Nilanksha Sachdev

Nilanksha Sachdev, currently an Assistant Professor at DGMC, is an avid
communication enthusiast, she has a rich experience of 7 years in the field of Mass
communication, Strategic Communications, Content Development and Communication
for Development. She particularly feels connected to the field of Development
Communication and has previously worked in several organizations like UNFPA, Public
Health Foundation of India and Ford Foundation to give the use of Media a social
direction. This experience has given her an eye of detail and a vast knowledge of the
interdisciplinary use of Mass Media as a tool for a better society. She accomplished her
Masters Degree in Development Communication, from Lady Irwin College, Delhi
University followed by UGC NET in the year 2011. She has also done a graduate course
in “Strategic Communications and Design” from University of Western Australia, Perth
and a course in “American Families and Community Lifestyles” from School of Human
Ecology at Michigan State University. She has taught as an Assistant Professor in
colleges like Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi and SNDT Women’s University.
She has researched and authored chapters on topics like Participatory Communication for
Development, Games as a tool for social change and correlations between Perception and
Communication. Her area of expertise is Content Development, Strategic
Communications, Media Design, Development Communication, Media Advocacy, Social
Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations.
Mr. Prasoon Prabhakar

Mr. Prasoon Prabhakar is an alumnus of Satyajit Ray Film and Television, Kolkata. He has been working professionally for the last 9 years across various formats of filmmaking like films, web series, Short films, and advertising/commercials. His films and web series are streaming on various OTT platforms. He is recognized as a Certified Master trainer by Media and Entertainment Skills Council.
Divya Narang Tinna
(Faculty)
Ms. Divya Narang Tinna is a Media Professional with almost 17 years of teaching and industry experience. Teaching and research are the two areas that have always enthralled her. She is a post-graduate in Economics as well as Mass Communication. She also has two UGC-NET certificates (Economics and Mass Communication) to her credit. Besides that, she also pursued PG Diploma in TV Journalism from Jamia Millia Islamia and she is the University Topper of the 2003-04 batch. She has also done a PG Diploma in Radio Broadcasting from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi.
Before, starting her career in teaching, Ms. Divya was working with National News Channels in Delhi. She has worked as an Anchor and a Reporter with IBN7, which has now become News18. After her short stint with IBN7, she joined India’s most prestigious News Channel NDTV India. She has worked with veteran journalists like Vinod Dua, Ravish Kumar, Manoranjan Bharti, Sushil Bahuguna, and many more.
For the past 10 years, she has been teaching and guiding undergraduate and postgraduate students in different media programs. Her research interests mainly include the study of social media, new media, and gender. She has done two Minor Research Projects, which were funded by the University of Mumbai. She has also won the “Best Research Paper Award” at an International Conference held in Mumbai. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. in media from PAHER, Udaipur.
Ms. Deevika Shetty

Ms. Deveeka Shetty, currently an Assistant Professor at DGMCMS, is a Media Professional, an Image Consultant and a Digital Marketer. She is a post- graduate in Electronic Media as well as English Literature. She is pursuing her Ph.D in media from the University of Mumbai. Her area of expertise are Social Media Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations, Film Communication and Electronic Media. She has abundant experience of 9 years in the field of Corporate Communication, Public Relations, Image Consultancy and Celebrity Styling and Teaching. She particularly feels connected to the field of Public Relation and has previously worked in organizations like You, Me & We Media as a Senior PR Executive and Style Panache as a PR Executive and a Stylist. This experience has given her an eye of detail and a vast knowledge of the use of Mass Media as a tool for a better society. She was the Head of Department of the Department of Mass Media for 2½ years in Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Commerce and Science, also she headed the Master’s Program (MAEMA) for a year in Thakur College of Science & Commerce. She has experience in teaching in her Alma-mater Wilson College. Teaching, research and organizing events are areas that have always enthralled her. She is also an enthusiast in various cultural activities like Dance and Drama. She has presented a paper on “A Study of the Awareness Regarding Biological Warfare among Undergraduate Students of Mass Media”
Ms. Rajeshwari Venkitasubramanian

Ms. Rajeshwari Venkitasubramanian, currently an Assistant Professor at DGMCMS, is a Media Professional. She has a Master's degree in Communication and Journalism and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism. Her areas of expertise are Social media marketing and anchoring events. She previously worked with Guru Nanak College of Arts, Science and Commerce (autonomous), GTB Nagar, where she was the faculty member for Board of Studies. She has experience in teaching in her Alma-mater S.I.E.S College of Arts, Science and Commerce (Autonomous),Sion. Prior to joining DGMCMS, Ms. Rajeshwari has also worked for various media organizations such as United News of India and Free Press Journal. Known for her engaging teaching style, Ms.Rajeshwari is passionate about inspiring the next generation of media professionals and guiding the students at a personal level. She has presented a paper titled ‘Social Media- Trendsetter for Social Justice in India’ at the One Day National Conference on Reformation in Media. Beyond the classroom, She is also part of Toastmasters International, a global non-profit organization dedicated to helping people improve their communication, public speaking, and leadership skills. She is also an enthusiast in various cultural activities like dancing since she has learned Classical dance for 12 years.
Ms. Bhavya Kotian

Ms. Bhavya Kotian, is a media professional with 6 years of teaching experience and 8 years of
industry experience. She has an undergraduate degree in BMM, Journalism from Sophia
college for women (Autonomous) and a Masters degree in Photogaphy from De Montfort
University, Leicester UK.
She was previously working for SVT college (Autonomous) at SNDT university, Juhu Campus
where she was a member of the BOS and a student mentor. She also, assisted in executing the
NEP 2020 for the department of Media, Communication and Development in the year 2022-23.

She also has had her photos exhibited by Exposure Award ‘The Dreamers collection’ in Louvre,
Paris and Imbroglio - The Hardy Tree Gallery, London, UK. Her current work is focused on
movements and incorporating that into various genres of photography. She currently
co-owns Univision Photography which specialises in art and commercial photography.
Dr. Nisha

Dr. Nisha, an Assistant Professor at DGMC, brings extensive academic achievements and professional experience to her role. She holds a BA (Hons) in English and B.Ed. from the University of Delhi, an MA in English & Communication Studies with distinction from DCRUST Murthal, and a PhD in English from Shobhit Deemed University, Meerut. Committed to excellence in education and societal empowerment, Dr. Nisha is UGC NET qualified in English and brings diverse professional experience. She has worked as a Language Associate in a reputed firm and taught for over seven years at various reputed institutions such as Learning Skills in Delhi and Hollotoli School and Tetso College in Nagaland. Additionally, she has contributed to scholarly discourse with research papers published in Scopus & UGC CARE Listed Journals and presentations at national and international seminars. Her expertise includes English Literature, Indian English Literature, Naga Literature in English, Communicative English, Verbal & Nonverbal Communication, Business Communication, and Media & Professional Communication. Mr. Sahil Malik

Mr. Sahil Malik is a distinguished VFX and Multimedia Editor with over 7 years of extensive experience in both academia and industry. He has collaborated with leading VFX companies, including Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), DNEG, Prime Focus, and Prana Studios, contributing to high-profile projects such as *Planet of the Apes*, *Transformers*, and *Jurassic World*.
Mr. Malik's expertise encompasses a broad range of multimedia disciplines, including VFX compositing, FX and simulations, computer media, motion graphics, and concept design. Throughout his teaching career, he has been dedicated to educating and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students in VFX and multimedia production. His pedagogical approach seamlessly integrates theoretical foundations with practical applications, ensuring students are well-equipped to meet real-world demands.
With a steadfast commitment to both education and professional practice, Mr. Sahil Malik continues to influence the VFX and multimedia landscape, inspiring and developing the next generation of industry leaders.
Mr. Chandrashekhar Dubey

Mr. Chandrashekhar Dubey holds a Master & degree in Library and Information Science from the
University of Mumbai. He has qualified UGC-NET in 2018 and has over nine years of rich experience
in academic and special libraries. He has worked with reputed organizations like HBSE, TIFR,
Welingkar Institute of Management, Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), AIMSR.
