Prof. Kanchan is a seasoned faculty with a teaching and counselling experience of 20 years at various academic levels, right from schooling to MBA. Prof. Luthra’s career path began with the Doon School and Counselling at the Doon Youth Centre. As a Senior Manager and Psychological Coach at United world School of Business, she facilitated self-development, provided self-awareness, clarified thinking processes, and helped develop career paths with the help of psychometric tests. This psychological experience has always helped her easily established empathetic connection with her students, helping them enhance and unlock their potential/s.
As a Senior Faculty, Prof. Kanchan has been teaching across streams and courses in Saraf College and DGMC for more than a decade. Her knowledge and expertise has guided students across programs like MAFTNMP, MACJ, Short Term Professional Courses, PGDM, BAFTNMP and BMM/BAMMC. Subjects like Research Methodology, Advertising in Contemporary Society, Media Laws & Media Economics are some of the subjects taught by her, from the long list of her academic ensemble. She has been the Programme- In-Charge of BAFTNMP for the past 5years
As a faculty, her research discourse illustrates a good number of research papers and a book titled “Advertising in Contemporary Society” for the Final year BMM students.
Mr. Chandroday Ghosh

Chandroday Ghosh is known to the Industry as Music Composer/Producer, Sound Designer and Sound Engineer for several of his Regional, Bollywood & Indie projects. A Professional Audio Engineer, having formal training in the field of Sound Engineering from FTII (Film and Television Institute of India, Pune) and SAE Institute.
More than 10 years of experience in (Academics) teaching Sound Engineering and Music production in multiple colleges across India. Several years he was associated as Head of the Audio Engineering and Music Production Department (HOD) at AAT / SAE media college (Mumbai). An AVID certified instructor for PROTOOLS and was empanelled as an Assistant Professor for Sound (2012-2014) at FTII (Film and Television Institute of India, Pune). Currently he is an Assistant Professor (Audio Engineer), at DGMC.
Mr. Shalu S. Balan

With More than 10 years of experience in Animation & Broadcast Industry in India, He did his Bachelors in Computer Applications and Masters in Mass Media from Periyar University, Selam Tamil Nadu, along with an International Diploma in Animation and Multimedia from Arena Animation Academy Delhi.
He has trained students of institutes like ZEE learn , Arena Animation and Maya academy of advance cinimatics on various multimedia topics like graphics , 2d-3d animation , VFx and Editing.
He was awarded with "A GRADE CERTIFIED TRAINER" by APTECH Ltd.
Mr.Balan has been sharing his experience and taking academic lectures in various institution accross mumbai.
He worked on various tv animation series, most popular "MOTU PATLU" (for POGO) with Maya Entertainment Ltd studio,Mumbai.
Ms. Ponselvi S

A passionate educator, writer and lawyer, Selvi holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication, a Bachelor’s degree in Law (L.L.B), a Master’s degree in English Literature, and a Diploma in Gandhian Thought. She is an accredited certificate holder in Creative Writing and a progressive learner in Communication, Copywriting and Visual Storytelling.
She is a decorated B and C certificate holder in National Cadet Corps – Navy wing and had led her battalion as Cadet Captain. She takes pride as the recipient of the honorary APCM 23 Karat Gold medallion awarded to the Best Outgoing Student, during her Bachelor’s college period.
Literary Criticism being her forte, she enjoys the interdisciplinary criss-cross of Jurisprudence and Culture Studies, Poetry and Functional English, and Polity and Strategic Communication. Her years of experience as a public welfare professional, and her ethnographic encounters traversing miles of rural India’s landscapes accommodates great space for experiential learning in the classroom.
An advocate of lifelong prolific learning, Selvi believes fostering Imaginative Activism is the way forward in co-creating a democratic and dynamic knowledge society.
Ms. Kinjal Sheth Tandon

Kinjal Sheth Tandon, a zealous media faculty. Who time and again strives for excellence, happened to qualify M- SET September -21. Which certainly adds feather to her cap but also reckons her claims in action. Her 4+ years of academic experience makes her inquisitively fanatic about grasping knowledge and being luxuriant. Her rustic experience of working for Dance India Dance -lil masters season 2 (Frames Production), Hats off production along with other Advertising agencies has led her to be driven towards the field of Psychology, understanding human mindset and their behavior.
As an outcome of her pursuance in ; Advertising, Clinical -Community Psychology and Public Relations has enabled her into being eclectic and zestful in her approach. It has also enabled her to be dexterous and apt in communications and fabricating connections. She, being pedantic about things across, persistently thrives best in her.
Mr. Viraj Bandekar

Mr. Viraj Bandekar comes from a background of competitive examinations and has been teaching in various colleges. He cleared UGC NET examination in June 2019. He previously worked with Bhavans College, Andheri (autonomous) where he was the faculty member for Board of Studies and the faculty in charge of photography club.
Viraj has worked freelance with various OTT platforms as a transcript writer. He has also worked with
sportscrunch.in as a sports writer. Viraj is a sports enthusiast and is a basketball and football player himself. Viraj is currently the Assistant Professor at DGMC.
Mr. Srinivasrao Challapali

Srinivasrao Challapalli is a Broadcast and New Media professional with over 20 years of industry experience. He has worked with national and regional news channels like NDTV, ETNow, IBN Lokmat, Sakshi TV etc. and with Hotstar as well. He has academic experience in the teaching of media and communication, along with marketing, to students at the undergraduate level.
Srinvas is a silent listener, and loves interpersonal interactions where he believes in sharing his industry experience with his students. He is a post graduate with specialisation in management, and is a certified ISO auditor. In his free time he loves to cook and work on documentary research.
Shruti Sunil Joshi

Shruti Sunil Joshi, academician-researcher with Masters degree in the field of mass media and
communication and journalism. Shruti has presented and published research papers in several
esteemed international conferences and peer reviewed journals. She also has co-authored a
paper on the Journey of Kesari as a standalone newspaper, which has been published in UGC-
CARE listed journal 'Communicator'.
During her graduation days, Shruti has also worked in the field of regional newspapers as
reporter, feature writer and columnist in the beats of health, education, social issues,
entertainment the newspapers Loksatta, Loksatta Viva, Navakal, Maharashtranama, etc.
Her field experience has contributed as the practical support to her theoretical knowledge she
has as a researcher. She aims to work in the field of media academics and media research and
contribute more in the field.
Nilanksha Sachdev

Nilanksha Sachdev, currently an Assistant Professor at DGMC, is an avid
communication enthusiast, she has a rich experience of 7 years in the field of Mass
communication, Strategic Communications, Content Development and Communication
for Development. She particularly feels connected to the field of Development
Communication and has previously worked in several organizations like UNFPA, Public
Health Foundation of India and Ford Foundation to give the use of Media a social
direction. This experience has given her an eye of detail and a vast knowledge of the
interdisciplinary use of Mass Media as a tool for a better society. She accomplished her
Masters Degree in Development Communication, from Lady Irwin College, Delhi
University followed by UGC NET in the year 2011. She has also done a graduate course
in “Strategic Communications and Design” from University of Western Australia, Perth
and a course in “American Families and Community Lifestyles” from School of Human
Ecology at Michigan State University. She has taught as an Assistant Professor in
colleges like Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi and SNDT Women’s University.
She has researched and authored chapters on topics like Participatory Communication for
Development, Games as a tool for social change and correlations between Perception and
Communication. Her area of expertise is Content Development, Strategic
Communications, Media Design, Development Communication, Media Advocacy, Social
Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations.
Ms. Rakhi Patekar

Rakhi Patekar has Completed Post Graduation in Masters of Library Science (M.LiSc.) from SHPT School of Library Science, SNDT University , Mumbai. Cleared CBSE – UGC NET (National Entrance Test), to be eligible for the post of Assistant Professor in Library and Information Science. Worked as a librarian with institutions like Bombay Cambridge, Universal High and Orchids International. Participated in various conferences and presented a paper on ‘Marketing skills for the Librarian in the 21st Century’, in the National Conference on “Librarianship in the 21st Century: Challenges and Prospects” held in Thakur College of Engineering and Technology. The paper was published in the conference proceedings.
