Many small things have been made large by the right kind of advertising. – Mark Twain
Currently, the giant brands of the world are increasing the advertising budget because they know that the future is gold and game-changing. The central question is not whether advertising will change or not, but is how radically it will do so.
Being in the 21st century we all are live examples of how advertising imprints in our minds & daily lives. You want an illustration now? Then, this is it –
‘Washing Powder Nirma, Washing powder Nirma,
Doodh si safedi, Nirma se aayii…’ (Remember?)
Advertising is the art of conveying a message of a product or service to the masses. It generally persuades people about commercial products, services and even draws attention towards social issues. Advertising is one of the essential departments of any industry as it ensures the company’s competitiveness in the realm.
The advertising industry is about firms that advertise, agencies that curate the commercials, media that leads the ads, and a multitude of people like copy editors, visualizers, brand managers, researchers, creative heads and graphic designers who take it the last mile to the customer or receiver.
In layman’s language, how does the advertising industry work?
A company that needs to advertise hires an advertising agency. The company summarises the agency on the brand, its symbolism, the ideals and values behind it, the target segments and so on. The agencies convert the ideas and needs of the company, to create the visuals, text, layouts and themes to communicate with the user. After consent from the client, the ads are broadcast, as per the planning done by the agency.
Currently, the Indian advertising industry is on a roll! It’s all set to provide skilled and quality employment to thousands of individuals in upcoming years.
