The inaugural keynote by Dr. Ali Saha (Author, Lecturer & Unit Coordinator, University of Melbourne) explored the powerful intersection of media and innovation, highlighting storytelling as a catalyst for social change. It showed how effective narratives can bridge the gap between awareness and action, inspiring communities to pursue collective impact. The session on grassroots innovation featured Pritesh Mistry, (Founder and CEO of Bioleather) Rachna Kalra (Sociopreneur, Environmental leader, & Founder of Win Fluential Technology), CA Gnanesh Mehta (Founder, Gnaan U Education & Managing Partner, Gnaan Ka Pitara) inspired how sustainability-led entrepreneurship can be implemented and discussions on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) examined the challenges in translating policy frameworks into local action, underscoring the need for participatory governance and context-driven implementation. The conference also promoted youth engagement by encouraging students and early-career researchers to explore field-based solutions to real-world problems through academic inquiry and innovation.
The paper presentation sessions were structured into diverse thematic tracks, including sustainability and environment, innovation and entrepreneurship, media and communication for change, and social development and inclusion. Participants from India and abroad shared research insights within 10–12 minutes per presentation, fostering interactive discussion and collaboration across disciplines. The tracks were chaired by Dr.Preeti Oza, Principal LRMC and co-chaired by Dr.Shivani Ahluwalia, Co-ordinator, BMS,Singhad College of Commerce on the first day and Dr. Daniel Michal Khan, Associate Prof, Tetso College on the second day.
Concluding with the Valedictory Address by Prof. Dr. Amar P. Garg, the conference reaffirmed DGMC’s commitment to nurturing research and innovation for social good. By uniting scholars, practitioners, and institutions, the event strengthened collective efforts toward sustainable, inclusive, and impactful social transformation.
The event saw participation from scholars and students across India and abroad, with paper presentations covering sustainability, innovation, communication, and social change. Each presenter shared their research in interactive sessions that fostered knowledge exchange and collaboration.
The conference concluded by reaffirming DGMC’s commitment to advancing social innovation through research, dialogue, and partnership. By uniting diverse voices across academia and industry, the event strengthened the collective pursuit of sustainable and inclusive progress.
