Virtual Career guidance webinar on 24th July’2020 at DGMC was conducted to help in making the students honest about the right assessment related to their own skills and practical market requirements.
Dr Amee Vora emphasized on the fact of media being highly popular and so the experience is critical. One has to be motivated and persistent in applications. Mr Sandip Tarkas spoke on the lines of gaining work experience and building a portfolio of work, with Radio, Television, Newspaper of PR agencies. Mr Ajay Kakar stressed on the fact where media studies graduates enter careers in media, cultural and creative industries and work in areas of television, film and video, writing and publishing, PR and media practice.
Dr Ashish Kulkarni highlighted upon the fact on digital marketing encompassing even more roles and skills than marketing. He mentioned that it’s this flexible, versatile nature of business that makes it so fascinating. He also emphasized on the fact that most common uses of digital marketing applications and software include social media management, content marketing and community building.
The session ended with abundant information, which sparked new ideas and a newfound excitement amongst the students.
