“”UDAAN” – the Flight of Extension, an annual festival organized by the University of Mumbai’s Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension, took place at the St. Francis Institute of Management and Research in Borivali on the 20th Jan 2024 Participating colleges with DLLE clubs showcased their talents in various competitions.
This year marked the debut of Deviprasad Goenka Management College of Media Studies in the festival. Students from DGMC, including Dhvani Shah, Kalyani Math, Tiara Furtado, Mamta Waghela, Jagruti Rane, Saniya Gowda, Shubhlaxmi Yadav, Tiara Furtado, Anastasia Kinny, Trishelle D’Souza, and Shruti Soni, along with club representatives Ms Divya Narang Tinna and Nilanksha Sachdev, put in commendable efforts for the event.
Despite their first-time participation, DGMC secured notable achievements.
Directed by Dhvani Shah and coordinated by Kalyani Math, DGMC clinched the 2nd place in the street play competition. The street play featured the talents of Dhvani Shah, Kalyani Math, Tiara Furtado, Mamta Waghela, Jagruti Rane, Anastasia Kinny, Saniya Gowda, and Shubhlaxmi Yadav.
Furthermore, in the poster making competition, Tiara Furtado and Anastasia Kinny represented DGMC and triumphed over competing colleges, securing the 1st place. The event was described as a fun and exhilarating day for all participants.
