The Advertising & Branding Club (ABC) of DGMC organized a screening and discussion event featuring the Cannes Lions 2024 winning ads on September 2, 2024. The session showcased a wide range of international and Indian award-winning advertisements, with Gatorade’s ads standing out due to their indirect yet creative messaging. The event’s goal was to explore the elements that made these ads exceptional, encouraging deeper understanding and analysis. With around 40 students in attendance, many engaged actively in discussions, sharing their unique perspectives. Each ad screening was followed by thought-provoking questions, sparking comparisons between international ads like Doritos and Coke and Indian ones like Hyundai. The event highlighted how brands tailor their strategies to different regions and emphasized elements such as messaging, brand tone, and color usage.
