The Cultural Committee of DGMC successfully conducted auditions for Dance, Theatre, and Music to identify talented students who will represent the institution at the University of Mumbai Youth Festival and other prestigious competitions, including IPTA. Held between 29th June and 7th July 2026, the auditions witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various programmes.
The Dance Auditions, held on 29th June 2026, were judged by Ms. Punita Hirani, while the Theatre Auditions, conducted on 4th July 2026, were evaluated by Mr. Parth Sunita Desai. The auditions showcased exceptional creativity, confidence, and stage presence, with 48 students participating across both categories. The theatre team, known for securing first and second positions at the University Youth Festival over the past three years, once again demonstrated remarkable talent and enthusiasm.
The Music Auditions, conducted on 7th July 2026 in the 7th Floor Studio, were judged by Mr. Sahil Joshi and Mr. Aman Singh in the presence of Principal Dr. Amee Vora, who encouraged and interacted with the participants. Supervised by Teacher In-Charge Ms. Bhavya Kotian, the auditions aimed to build a strong team for the upcoming Youth Festival. Although heavy rains affected attendance, seven students participated and displayed commendable musical talent. Building on the college’s milestone achievement of securing a consolation prize in the music category during its debut participation last year, the auditions reflected the growing enthusiasm and commitment of students to excel in future competitions.
Together, these auditions laid a strong foundation for DGMC’s cultural contingent, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to nurturing artistic excellence and preparing students for success at the university level.
