DGMC’s Orientation Program for the students of First Year (FY), Second Year (SY), and Third Year (TY) was conducted at Durgadevi Saraf Hall, RSET Campus, to formally commence the Academic Year 2026–2027 and familiarize students with the academic and institutional expectations.
The Orientation Program for FY students of BA Multimedia and Mass Communication (BAMMC), BA Film, Television and New Media Production (BAFTNMP), Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), B.Sc. (Data Science), and B.Sc. (Animation & VFX) was held on Tuesday, 23rd June 2026, from 9:30 a.m. onwards. Parents were mandatorily invited to attend the programme, enabling them to understand the institution’s academic framework and support their wards throughout the academic journey.
The Orientation Program for SY students of BAFTNMP, BAMMC, BMS, B.Sc. (Data Science), B.Sc. (Animation & VFX), and TY students of BAMMC and BAFTNMP was conducted on Friday, 5th June 2026, from 9:30 a.m. onwards, at the same venue.
During the orientation sessions, students and parents were welcomed by the college leadership and introduced to the vision, mission, values, and academic culture of the institution. The programme provided a comprehensive overview of the course structure, curriculum, and academic progression for the respective programmes.
Detailed briefings were conducted on the updated examination policy, attendance policy, Continuous assessment policy, and the disciplinary norms of the institution. Students and parents were informed about the importance of maintaining the prescribed attendance requirements, adhering to examination regulations, participating actively in continuous assessment components, and upholding the code of conduct expected within the college premises.
The orientation also served as an interactive platform where students and parents could clarify their queries regarding academics, assessments, institutional policies, and student support services. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the beginning of the new academic year with a shared commitment towards academic excellence, discipline, and holistic development.
