The Rotaract Club of DGMC organized a session, “Pause & Power Up – Exam Stress-Free Session”, to help students manage examination stress and adopt healthier study practices. The session was conducted by Prof. Daivata Patil, an educator, communication strategist, TEDx speaker, and gender advocate with over eighteen years of experience. She currently serves on the Board of Studies at autonomous colleges under the University of Mumbai, has represented India at the United Nations on women’s rights and health, and has also contributed to filmmaking through Onjal Art Productions.
Prof. Patil discussed the common challenges students face during examinations, especially the pressure to perform and the stress that often hampers productivity. She emphasized the need to balance preparation with self-care and encouraged students to adopt methods that nurture both the mind and body. She advised students to focus on consistency in their preparation, to practice mindful breathing and relaxation techniques, and to maintain a healthy routine with adequate rest and proper nourishment. Prof. Patil also spoke about the importance of maintaining a positive outlook, replacing self-doubt with confidence, and treating exams not as threats but as opportunities to showcase one’s learning.
Through engaging examples and practical suggestions, she highlighted how simple shifts in approach can transform exam preparation into a more structured and less stressful experience. The session concluded with an interactive segment, where students shared their concerns and received guidance on managing their specific challenges. The discussion left participants with a sense of clarity and confidence, equipping them with strategies to face exams with calmness and resilience.
The session proved to be enriching and impactful, enabling students to pause, reflect, and power up with renewed energy as they move forward in their academic journey.
