An educational visit was organised for 13 students of FY B.Sc. Animation & VFX to Jehangir Art Gallery and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya on 2nd December 2025. The students were accompanied and guided by Prof. Uday Mohite.
Students explored ongoing exhibitions featuring a variety of contemporary and classical artworks. They closely observed diverse artistic styles, techniques, colour palettes, and visual narratives. This exposure helped them understand professional standards of composition, thematic expression, and creative interpretation.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu / Sangrahalaya (CSMVS)
The second phase of the visit was conducted at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu
Sangrahalaya (CSMVS). Students studied sculptures, historical artefacts, architectural elements, and culturally significant artworks. Under the guidance of Prof. Uday Mohite, a structured live sketching session was conducted. Students practiced sketching human figures, object forms, drapery, textures, and spatial perspectives directly from real-world references.
Outcomes of the Visit
- Students gained practical exposure to classical and contemporary art forms.
