Jagran Film Festival: DGMC proudly partnered with the Jagran Film Festival, India’s largest travelling film festival, known for celebrating cinema across genres, languages, and cultures from 13th to 16th November 2025 at Cinépolis, Fun Republic Mall, Andheri West. The visit was aimed at introducing students to festival culture, curated screenings, and the opportunity to experience cinema from India and around the world. For many students, this was their first exposure to such a festival environment, providing valuable academic and practical insights into filmmaking, narrative techniques, visual communication, and audience engagement, while also allowing them to observe professional networking opportunities within the industry.
A significant moment of pride for our college community was the screening of “A Stroke of Hope”, a short film by TYBAFTNMP student Anisha Bhala. Her semester-end film was officially selected and screened at the festival, placing DGMC among institutions grooming the next generation of Indian film talent. The inclusion of our student’s film on such a prestigious platform reflects the college’s commitment to nurturing original voices and innovative filmmaking practices.
