On February 6, 2025, the Rotaract Club of DGMC organized Heartbeats of Hope 2.0, a CPR training programme exclusively for the RSET staff. The event was conducted in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Bombay Airport (RCBA).
Following by the felicitation of Dr. Akshay Mehta, who led the training, by Dr. Amee Vora, Principal of DGMC. Dr. Mehta started by explaining the difference between a heart attack and cardiac arrest. He then introduced the four key steps of CPR and demonstrated the technique using a mannequin. He also informed the attendees that CPR is now referred to as CCR (Cardiocerebral Resuscitation).
Faculty members from MBIS, RBHS, DSJC, DSIMS, GSCC, KGSS, KGES, RMCC, and the RSET Management actively participated in the training session.
The event was further honored by the presence of Rotarian Apurva Patel, President of RCBA, Rotarian Mona Patel, the first lady and Ms. Vandana, Manager at the Bank of Baroda, who is also the sponsor for Panchadhara. Their presence added great value to the programme.
Heartbeats of Hope 2.0 was an informative and engaging session that provided the RSET staff with essential life-saving skills and highlighted the importance of CPR training.
