The Film Club in association with The Rotaract and the Advertising & Branding club honoured the Indian Armed Forces in their event the Kargil Vijay Diwas. The event was held at the Durgadevi Saraf Hall.
The stories of our war heroes’ selflessness and unity were portrayed through the documentaries made by the Indian Army itself that were screened for the students. A special invitee for the event was Captain Anant Yagnik, a retired defence official from the Western Naval Command, who shared his experience during the Kargil War.
DGMC Students got in touch with Punarvas, a school for the specially abled children in Goregaon, who made handmade Rakhis. These were purchased to send to our armed forces. The rakhis were sent with personally handwritten Postcards that was designed by faculty members.
