The Rotaract Club organised “Mindful Miles,” a series of meditation and stress management sessions held at BEST Bhavan in Dadar on 11th, 13th and 18th Dec 2024 . This initiative was conducted in collaboration with BEST and the Sahaja Yoga Foundation as part of the Panchadhara occasion, which specifically addressed the occupational stress experienced by BEST drivers.
The “Mindful Miles” session was created in response to the significant stressors faced by drivers in urban environments like Mumbai. These stressors include navigating heavy traffic, sticking to strict schedules, managing interactions with passengers, maintaining vehicle safety, and enduring long working hours through the pollution. Such challenges can lead to negative outcomes, including increased anxiety, fatigue, decreased concentration, and adverse effects on both physical and mental health.
