DGMC’s Annual Sports Day 2024, held on the 23rd and 24th of December 2024, was a grand celebration of sportsmanship, teamwork, and physical prowess. The opening ceremony set the tone for the event, creating an atmosphere charged with excitement and anticipation. Each event saw active participation, with players giving their all to secure a win while upholding the true spirit of sportsmanship.
Day 1 featured indoor events such as Chess and Carrom, which tested participants’ strategic thinking and precision. The Tug of War matches for both boys and girls turned out to be crowd-pullers, with teams pulling with strength, strategy, and determination to win amid roaring cheers from spectators.
Day 2 was packed with high-energy outdoor sports, including Football, Cricket, Badminton, Volleyball, and Dodge ball. These events showcased not only the physical skills of the participants but also their ability to work as a cohesive unit, adapting strategies on the fly and fostering a strong sense of team spirit. The diverse range of events provided an inclusive platform, allowing every student an opportunity to excel in their area of strength.
The Chief Guest for Award Distribution of the Annual Sports Day was Mr. Sukesh Shastri, a renowned National football player and also the Senior Vice President at HDFC Bank. His presence and words of inspiration were motivational and inspirational for all the participants
