Plantation Restoration
Rotaract Club of DGMC carried out a Tree Restoration Drive within the college campus on 1st July 2025.
Furry Friends Project
Rotractors visited a nearby area im Malad and fed stray dogs with biscuits for two days. The club took up this initiative to contribute meaningfully towards animal welfare and align with the district’s goal of creating community impact through simple, actionable service on 1st & 2nd July 2025.
Vishram Old Age Home, Borivali West
The members of RCDGMC visited Vishram with a donation of 26 kilograms of rice to help meet the residents’ meal needs. Beyond the donation, members took time to connect with the elderly, listening closely to their stories and sharing moments of genuine conversation on 3rd July 2025
A Day with the Invincible Workforce
An initiative dedicated to acknowledging and appreciating the unwavering efforts of our hospitality staff. Members engaged in heartfelt conversations with the staff to better understand their everyday challenges, experiences, and contributions. This interaction not only fostered mutual respect but also created a deeper awareness among students about the value and dignity of every role that supports our institution. To further amplify this message, the club carried out a social media initiative, encouraging the wider college community to recognise and respect the backbone of our campus on the 3rd July 2025
BAAGHBAAN
As a part of Seva Mahotsav, the members of RCDGMC visited “Vishram”, an adopted old-age home in Borivali on 3rd July 2025. The visit included thoughtful interactions with the elderly residents, where many shared their life stories and experiences with us. The exchange created meaningful bonds and left a lasting impact.
Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign
Under Seva Mahotsav, RCDGMC carried out an impactful Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign on 3rd July 2025 to educate DGMC students about the risks and consequences of substance abuse. The session aimed to inform and sensitise students about the physical, mental, and societal impacts of drug use while encouraging healthy, conscious decision-making.
Visit to Orphanage
RCDGMC donated stationery to an orphanage as part of the Seva Mahotsav, an initiative by Rotaract District 3141. The donations included pens, pencils, crayons, and other stationery supplies. This initiative aimed to create a positive learning environment for the children in the orphanage by providing them with the necessary study materials.
AED Installation
on 17th July 2025, volunteers from the Rotaract Club of DGMC had the opportunity to attend and actively engage in an impactful, hands-on AED Installation and CPR Training Session conducted at Naigaon Station. This initiative was organised by our parent Rotary, the Rotary Club of Bombay Airport, with the aim of enhancing public preparedness for medical emergencies by equipping individuals with essential first aid skills.
Prompt Craft 101 Workshop
The session on 25th July 2025 was designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of prompt engineering, demonstrate the use of free AI tools, highlight the time-saving benefits of generative AI, and raise awareness about data privacy and security in the digital age. The session was led by Mr. Ashish Shetty, Head of Operations at Testriq QA Lab and CDPL, who brought with him over 11 years of experience in training, innovation, and organisational development. He covered essential topics including prompt creation, available free AI tools, AI’s role in productivity enhancement, and critical data privacy practices.
10th District Assembly & AARA Night
The Seva Mahotsav Citation:
On 26th July 2025, during the AARA (Academy for Awarding Rotaract Achievements) Night held as part of Dashak – the District Assembly, the Rotaract Club of DGMC was awarded with the Sevamahotsav Citation. This recognition was awarded in appreciation of the club’s active participation and dedicated efforts during the Seva Mahotsav initiative.
The event marked the Installation of the District Rotaract Representative for R.I. Year 2025-26, Rtr. Yashwardhan Chauhan, followed by AARA Night celebrating excellence across the district. RCDGMC was proud to be recognised with several honours: Outstanding President – Sanman Hutgikar, Outstanding Secretary – Angel Bhatt, Outstanding Pres-Sec Relations – Sanman Hutgikar & Angel Bhatt, and Outstanding Newcomer – Sayee Vidwans. The club also bagged awards for New Concept Project – Art Beyond Bars, Spotlight Citation (Sapphire), Best Rotary-Rotaract Relations – RCDGMC & RCBA, and the Sevamohatsav Citation. Additionally, we received crowns for Best PIS Rotary-Rotaract Initiative – Model United Nations and Best Community Service Project – Proud Girl 3.0, and were awarded Best PIS Rotary-Rotaract Initiative for Heartbeats of Hope 2.0. RCDGMC proudly secured Rank 33 in Rotaract District 3141, a reflection of the team’s impactful work throughout the year.
