The Rotaract Club of DGMC conducted a workshop, “Design It Right. The session was designed to introduce students to Canva, a versatile web-based design platform, and equip them with practical skills for creating professional and visually appealing designs. It covered both basic and advanced features of the tool, along with practical tips and shortcuts to enhance creativity and efficiency in design.
The workshop was led by Mr. Ashish Shetty, an experienced trainer in creative tools and digital solutions. He introduced participants to Canva’s interface, covering core features like layouts, fonts, colors, and brand kits, along with advanced tools such as animations, collaboration, and export settings.
Live demonstrations allowed students to practice real-time designing, from social media posts to presentations, while interactive activities and design challenges encouraged creativity and active participation.
The session proved particularly valuable for students seeking to improve their design skills for academic, professional, and personal purposes. Many attendees who were previously unfamiliar with Canva’s advanced tools gained confidence in creating impactful designs. Mr. Shetty’s practical insights and creative hacks made the session both informative and engaging, while the hands-on format ensured maximum involvement from members.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and group photos. Feedback showed high satisfaction, with students requesting more creative workshops, and plans are underway for follo-up sessions on Canva Pro, brand building, and social media content.
