The National Service Scheme (NSS) conducted a 7-day residential camp from January 25 to January 30, 2025, at the Yusuf Meherally Centre in Panvel. The camp began with participants arriving early on Day 1 for an overview and group photo, followed by a bus journey to the camp location. Activities included community service, such as cleaning and preparing for a donation drive, and engaging with local children through games and educational sessions.
Throughout the week, participants celebrated Republic Day with a parade and speeches, practiced yoga, and attended workshops on Warli art and English language skills. They also learned about Mahatma Gandhi’s life and values, participated in skit rehearsals, and enjoyed cultural activities like pottery sessions and dance performances with villagers.
The camp emphasized teamwork, creativity, and community engagement, culminating in a farewell celebration on Day 7, where participants distributed donations and reflected on their experiences. The camp fostered personal growth, skill development, and a sense of camaraderie among participants, leaving them with cherished memories and a deeper understanding of service to the community.
