
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Research Cell successfully organized a one-week virtual Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Qualitative and Quantitative Research Approaches” from 23rd to 28th September 2024. The FDP was designed to enhance faculty members’ understanding and application of diverse research methodologies, focusing on both qualitative and quantitative paradigms. The FDP had 69 registered participants from all over India, and the participants constituted of several Professors, PhD students and Research Scholars from Universities across India.
The program featured expert speakers from prestigious institutions, offering in-depth sessions across six days:
- Day 1 (23rd September 2024)
Session 1: Introduction to Qualitative Research

Session 2: Interview Design in Qualitative Research
Speaker: Prof. (Dr.) Anubhuti Yadav, Professor, IIMC.

The program provided a comprehensive understanding of various research methodologies and their applications in academia, emphasizing real-world relevance. Sessions included detailed discussions on research techniques, design strategies, ethical considerations, and the process of publishing research. A test comprising of 30 MCQ’s was conducted at the end of the FDP, for the participants to self-assess their learnings and takeaways from the sessions. The FDP saw active participation from faculty members across the country, who gained valuable insights into refining their research skills and enhancing the quality of their academic contributions.
