Multimedia add-on course Italy-based European
Pressphotoagency’s Mumbai’s Photojournalist Divyakant Solanki.
This month-long course was conducted by Italy-based European Pressphotoagency’s Mumbai’s photojournalist Divyakant Solanki for the students of DGMC. Some of the topics covered by the renowned photographer were within the realm of photography and videography.
He also instructed the students in editing both photos and videos. Some of the important topics that were address in the online class were basic introduction of Photography, what is Photography & History of Photography.
The students also learned the transition of the camera – from different types of camera (old to new) to different type of lenses and its uses and importance. Solanki also enlightened the students about what to keep in mind while shooting
photographs – Shutter Speed, Aperture (F-Stop), ISO – in full detailed lectures with examples.
The class also got lessons on how to compose a frame, metering, knowing your camera settings, how to hold the camera in different positions, in different situations. Different types of Camera Modes (each mode from Auto, Program, Shutter Priority, Aperture, and Manual) were explained, along with the Rule of Third to understand the composition while shooting and how to implement techniques.
The students also got a sneak preview of photography tips and essential photography equipment in the class which took place thrice a week in two-hours-long sessions. Editing skills were also imparted in in Photoshop and Lightroom.
In Video, the class was taught understanding the camera, settings for the videos from the frame rate to shutter speed,
Aperture, ISO, White Balance and basic Video editing in Kinemaster.
