Report on the Reading Meet: Literati Club

Due to the tremendous focus on technology inclusion in today’s society, it is common for academia to discover new ways to implement technology within the learning environment. One big challenge education face in the collegiate classroom with the students is the reduction of face-to-face time. So, the question becomes how to provide content coverage all the while ensuring candidates are receiving quality reading material. To inculcate that DGMC along with the month long Gandhi moth celebration plugged in a reading session through the Literati Club of DGMC. The student members along with the faculty mentors selected some readings and had circulated which was then followed by a discussion meet.
The readings were based on Mahatma Gandhi, his principals, teaching. The articles were written by personalities and eminent authors about their views on Gandhi, his works, his philosophy and its relevance today. The reading list included articled written by Gandhi himself, Rajmohan Gandhi, Ramchandra Guha, Dr.Sujata Patel.
The Literati Club implementing online reading meets in the college it increases critical thinking, collaboration, personal connections, differentiation, and exposure to different genres, accountability, and feedback. The session was open to all the students of DGMC. It was hosted by the literati Club Secretary Mr. Digbijoy Ghosh (Student, SYBAFTNMP) along with joint secretary, Ms.Tanushree Gupta (Student, TYBMM)
