Dosti House announced the program on the theme “The Changing Workplace: What is appropriate behaviour” and invited colleges to send their respective representatives on the afternoon of 24 July 2019.
The guidelines stated that any number of students could form a group to perform the skit; the students would get 5 minutes per performance and that the theme should be the topic they encapsulate in their skits. The short skits focused on facets of the theme such as verbal abuse, derogatory actions, negative stereotyping of women and men and any behaviour that makes someone feel uncomfortable. Ten colleges, namely St. Xavier’s College, SIES College of Commerce & Economics, BMN College of Home Science, K. J. Somaiya College of Arts & Commerce and St. Andrew’s College of Arts, Science and Commerce, to name a few, participated in the program. DGMC’s Librarian Geetanjali Wani went with eight students of DGMC Rangabhoomi group to Dosti House. Students gave an excellent performance which the audience thoroughly enjoyed and the awareness about the gender equality was conveyed effectively through their skilled performance.
