The Literati Club organised a debate competition on 19th September, 2022 on the topic of “Necessity of Censorship on OTT”.
The participants were divided into two teams with six members each debating for and against the motion. There were four rounds altogether with the first round comprising each debating teams’ introduction, the second round being the presentation of arguments, the third round being the rebuttal round, the fourth round being the situational response round and the fifth round being the final submissions round. Amrik Chakraborty, the student head of the club curated and anchored the competition.
The competition came to an end with feedback from the principal and the announcement of the winning team. The team that supported the motion had secured the maximum score from the members of the jury and was hence declared as the winners.
