DGMC hosted a free workshop with Mr. Binod Pradhan, award winning veteran cinematographer and the technical team from Arri Alexa The first session was conducted by the ALEXA team.
Starting off with a presentation on ARRI ALEXA CAMERA (the classic model), they went on to explain the working of the camera, technical details of the body of the camera, and other aspects like ISO, external light, and the different lenses of the camera.
The second session was conducted by Mr. Binod Pradhan himself, who explained how the industry works citing several incidences that he faced during his long career. He explained how the whole set of a film revolves around the camera giving examples from his experience on the sets of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. This was an engrossing session and students learnt a lot from this veteran cinematographer.
The third session comprised of setting up the camera and shooting methods and techniques, followed by practical, hands-on exercises on the camera.
