Every year, the halls of DGMC sees so many students with different talents and aptitudes. As an educational institute, it is the job of DGMC, all its teaching, non-teaching staff, to see to the growth of these young students.

The end of an academic year provides a perfect opportunity to encourage and acknowledge the efforts of these students. This is celebrated through the Annual  function for each year, in the form of academic and non-academic awards like student of the year, staff special awards, best editor, the toppers for each semester, etc. This year, the Annual day was celebrated on 1st April, 2022.

It was a splendid event with the entire teaching and non-teaching staff, student body and the management coming together to celebrate their achievements and accomplishments. Amongst the audience, the dignitaries present included Dr. Amee Vora, the principal of DGMC, Shri Ashok Ji Saraf, the President and Trustee of RSET,  Shri Narendri Ji Goenka, Chief donor and trustee for DGMC.

The chief guest for the evening was Mr Ninad Karpe, Partner at 100X.VC, a venture capitalist firm. He has a key interest in finance and has even published a book titled “BOND to BABA”. He also shares a key interest in theater, especially marathi theater and has produced two Marathi plays. The guest of honor for the evening was an Alumna of DGMC, Ms Anjali Kamath. Ms. Kamath completed her Post Graduation in Advertising and Communication from DGMC and currently is a brand strategist and communication specialist. Her forte lies in understanding the consumer in-depth through research, developing communication for them and identifying the right platforms to deploy the communication.

The evening commenced with introduction and felicitation of the guests along with a beautiful invocation in the form of a mesmerizing Kathak performance. The formal part of  the evening was conducted smoothly by Prof. Rubina Mohammad, which was followed by an entertaining program in which the students of DGMC put together a short play (directed  by: Mr. Mayank Sood ), a fusion dance (choreographed by: Ms. Punita Hirani ), poetry performances, RAP song and even a western song presentation.

But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness. No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful. Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain, but because occasionally circumstances occur in which toil and pain can procure him some great pleasure. To take a trivial example, which of us ever undertakes laborious physical exercise, except to obtain some advantage from it? But who has any right to find fault with a man who chooses to enjoy a pleasure that has no annoying consequences
