On 9th August 2024, the IQAC and the Women’s Development Cell and in collaboration with DLLE, organized an Inter-College Debate Competition on the topic “Should employers offer paid menstrual leave (Paid Period Leave) in every workplace?”
A total of 22 colleges across Mumbai participated in this event. It was incredible to observe the student’s knowledge, research and data collection regarding the subjects’ biological, social, ethical, economical and legal aspects.
Our esteemed judges – Dr. C. Babu, Director at Durgadevi Saraf Institute of Management Studies, Dr. Seema Agarwal, Vice-Principal at Ghanshyamdas Saraf College of Arts & Commerce and Mrs. Goral Gandhi, Founder and Scientific Director at Global Fertility Centre, were left amazed by the enthusiasm of the participants and their awareness about the matter.
Ragvendra Rajput, the winner of intra-college debate competition held on 6th August 2024, made us proud again by representing our college in the inter-college debate competition and securing the first place. While Yashvi Jain from Kishinchand Chellaram College and Suhani Gupta from KGS Sarvodaya School tied for the 2nd Place, the Consolation award was granted to Kritika Chaudhary from Jai Hind College. KGS Sarvodaya School was awarded the Best College Team for the event.
