The IQAC & the Literati Club of DGMC celebrated ‘Hindi Divas’ on 13th and 14th September. On 13th September 2023, an Intra-RSET debate competition was organized on the topic “Should Hindi be made our National Language” wherein more than 20 students participated. The debate was divided into two categories. In the first category students from 7th to 10th standard and in the second category Junior college to Post-Graduate students took part in it. The competition was judged by Media Educator Rajeev Sharma. In the junior category, first prize was won by Archisha Ajay Yadav whereas the second prize went to Riya Shailesh Mishra. They both represented KGSS School in the junior category. Students from Durgadevi Saraf Junior College also participated. In the senior category, there was a tough competition among the participants. Pratham Arora and Raghvendra Rajput from DGMC won the first and second prizes respectively.
The Hasya-Kavi Sammelan was a much awaited event not just by the stakeholders of DGMC but the entire RSET. Day-2 witnessed the presence of esteemed guests from the different institutions and departments of RSET. On 14th September, three renowned Hindi poets graced the “Hasya Kavi Sammelan”. Mr. Suresh Mishra started the event with his humorous way of anchoring and poetry which concluded on a serious note with a very emotional poem about daughters. He recited a poem titled “Pita Ka Khat Beti Ke Naam” which brought tears in everyone’s eyes. The other two poets present in the Hasya Kavi Sammelan were Basant Arya and Rana Tabassum. Rana Tabassum’s lyrical way of reciting the poems was appreciated by all the members present in the event. Principal Dr. Amee Vora felicitated the poets at the end of the session.
The kavi sammelan ended successfully on a very positive note in the presence of faculties, students and other members of RSET. The event was attended by more than 100 participants.
