Assistant Professor
A passionate educator, writer and lawyer, Selvi holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication, a Bachelor’s degree in Law (L.L.B), a Master’s degree in English Literature, and a Diploma in Gandhian Thought. She is an accredited certificate holder in Creative Writing and a progressive learner in Communication, Copywriting and Visual Storytelling.
She is a decorated B and C certificate holder in National Cadet Corps – Navy wing and had led her battalion as Cadet Captain. She takes pride as the recipient of the honorary APCM 23 Karat Gold medallion awarded to the Best Outgoing Student, during her Bachelor’s college period.
Literary Criticism being her forte, she enjoys the interdisciplinary criss-cross of Jurisprudence and Culture Studies, Poetry and Functional English, and Polity and Strategic Communication. Her years of experience as a public welfare professional, and her ethnographic encounters traversing miles of rural India’s landscapes accommodates great space for experiential learning in the classroom.
An advocate of lifelong prolific learning, Selvi believes fostering Imaginative Activism is the way forward in co-creating a democratic and dynamic knowledge society.
